HEYATELIER Weekends · New York

For one weekend, New York opens its studios.

No appointment, no gallery in between. Walk in, meet the artist, and see the work in the room where it was made. We are putting the first edition together now.

One email when the date is set. Nothing else, and you can leave the list in one click.

How a Weekend works

Three days, one city, doors that are actually open.

01

Get the map

A few weeks ahead we publish every participating studio, with its address and opening hours. You plan your own route.

02

Walk in

No appointment and no ticket. Stay five minutes or an hour. Visit one studio or a dozen, in whatever order you like.

03

Talk to the artist

The person who made the work is standing right there. Ask anything. There is no sales pitch and nothing you are expected to do.

The first edition

We are building the first one right now.

HEYATELIER Weekends do not run yet. The first one opens in New York, with the artists who are joining the platform. It will be small on purpose: a handful of studios we can do properly, rather than a long list we cannot stand behind.

City

New York first. Other cities follow once the first edition has run.

Date

Not set. We confirm the studios first, then the date.

Price

Free to attend. You only ever pay an artist directly.

The list

Everyone here gets the date and the map before it goes public.

Are you an artist?

A Weekend only exists if studios open.

If you work in New York and you want visitors in your studio, this is the moment to be on the platform. Creating an atelier page is free, and it puts you in front of the people on this list.

Questions

Before you sign up.

Not set yet. We are confirming studios in New York first, because a date without studios is not worth announcing. The people on this list hear it before anyone else.

No. A Weekend is free to attend and there is no ticket. You only ever pay an artist directly, and only if you decide to buy something.

No. During a Weekend the participating studios are open to everyone within their published hours. Outside a Weekend you can still visit, you just arrange it with the artist by message.

One email when the date is set, and a short reminder with the map in the week before. That is all. No weekly newsletter unless you ask for one, and one click removes you from the list.

Yes, and you do not have to wait. Browse the studios that are already on HEYATELIER and message any artist directly to arrange a visit. That is free and it works today.
